Calls, chat and meetings in the one app your people already use. Keep your numbers, add numbers in 140+ countries, and pay for the calls your team makes at once, not a calling plan for every person, with one team answering for every call.

“Would definitely recommend Infinitel for anyone looking for a Direct Routing solution. We are using Direct Routing to connect our Mexico staff into MS Teams.”

One app for every conversation.

Direct Routing turns Microsoft Teams into your business phone system. Your people call customers from the same place they chat and meet, and the separate phone system goes.

Calls, chat and meetings in one place.

Every external call comes into the app your team already has open. Turn a call into a meeting, share a screen or hand it to a colleague without switching tools.

Retire the separate phone system.

One platform to license, secure and manage, and one place for your IT team to add and remove users. Auto attendants, call queues and voicemail are built into Teams Phone.

Pay for the calls in progress, not for every person.

Your team shares a pool of lines sized to the calls you make at once. A team of fifty rarely has fifty external calls running together, so you pay for the calls you actually make.

Numbers in 140+ countries.

Local numbers for every market you sell into, all answered in Teams. Microsoft's own Calling Plans are sold in 33.

Your numbers, your choice of provider.

Bring the numbers your customers already know. Direct Routing keeps your numbers with the voice provider you choose, rather than moving them to Microsoft.

Work from anywhere, on any device.

Take business calls on the Teams desktop and mobile apps, in the browser or on a Teams desk phone. Your business number goes where your people go.

Direct Routing or Microsoft Calling Plans?

Both put phone calls into Teams. The difference is how you pay, where you can have numbers and who looks after the service.

Microsoft prices are Microsoft's UK list prices per user per month, paid yearly, excluding VAT, taken from microsoft.com/en-gb on 22 September 2026. Both options also need a Microsoft 365 or Teams licence for each user, so that cost is the same on both sides and is left out. Calling Plan markets are from Microsoft's country availability pages (August 2026).

Teams calling on a network we own.

Your calls leave Teams and go straight onto Infinitel's own network, run from seven data centres. We run every part between Teams and the telephone network, so one team answers for all of it.

Microsoft-certified, and managed for you.

Microsoft supports Direct Routing only on certified Session Border Controllers. Ours are Microsoft-certified AudioCodes Session Border Controllers, hosted and managed on our network, so there is no hardware for you to buy, patch or replace.

Your move, planned from start to finish.

We work with your Microsoft administrator and bring your numbers across while your current service keeps running. Move everyone at once, site by site, or alongside 3CX. We agree your go-live date with you when we plan the move.

  1. Plan your numbers and call flows.

We review your numbers, sites, licences, devices and emergency addresses, agree how calls should reach your people, and book the number transfers.

  2. Connect and test.

We connect Teams to our network through our managed SBCs, and your administrator switches users on for calling. Together we test inbound and outbound calls, caller ID, transfers and queues before any number moves.

  3. Go live with one team behind you.

Your numbers arrive, calls ring in Teams, and your people are shown how to answer, transfer and use voicemail. From then on you call one team for support, new numbers and extra lines.

Add a contact centre and call recording when you need them.

Both run inside Teams, on the same calling service. Priced to the modules you choose.

Your questions, answered.

Why Direct Routing rather than Calling Plans?

Because you pay for shared lines rather than a calling plan for every person, you can have numbers in 140+ countries rather than Microsoft's 33, and you keep your numbers with the provider you choose. Microsoft itself describes Direct Routing as a good fit for businesses with an existing phone provider, other phone systems to connect, or complex and multinational calling. With Infinitel you also get one team and written service levels for the whole voice service.

Which Microsoft licences do we need?

Teams Phone Standard for each person who makes or takes external calls, alongside their Teams licence. Microsoft 365 E5 already includes Teams Phone. You don't need a Calling Plan. Microsoft licences are bought from Microsoft; everything else comes from us.

How many channels do we need?

One for each external call you want running at the same time, shared by the whole team. We size it with you from how your people call today, and you add channels as you grow.

Can we keep our numbers?

Yes. Porting is free for UK numbers and many international ranges, and any charge is known before the port goes ahead. A port typically takes 7 to 15 business days, though timescales vary by number type and country. Your current service keeps running until the transfer completes.

Can we have numbers in other countries?

Yes, in 140+ countries, all answered in Teams. What's available varies by country and number type, and some countries need local documents; we confirm the details for each one before you order.

What do your service levels cover?

Everything we run: the SIP trunks and the managed Session Border Controllers. Business-critical faults get a 15-minute response to a phone call and a 4-hour repair target, 24x7, with service credits if we miss a repair target. Microsoft covers the Teams service itself.

Can we keep 3CX while we move?

Yes. Move site by site and run 3CX and Teams side by side on our network, or use the native 3CX and Teams integration to give selected Teams users 3CX calling. We'll help you choose.

Which phones and headsets work?

Teams-certified devices. We supply the Yealink Teams range, bought outright or leased. You add each device in your Teams admin centre, and it enrols when the user signs in.

How do 999 calls work?

Register your emergency addresses in affINITy and assign them to your numbers, so 999 and 112 calls carry the right location, including for people working away from the office.

Do you offer Operator Connect?

We provide Direct Routing, which gives you more control over routing, numbers and coverage: numbers in 140+ countries, Teams alongside other phone systems, and our managed, Microsoft-certified connection. Microsoft describes it as a good fit for multinational businesses and those running other phone systems.

How do we keep priority calls reachable?

Calls can take an alternative route, such as a mobile or another site, if a location loses power or internet access. We plan this with you for your key numbers.

Get Teams calling, quoted in one conversation.

Tell us how many people call and which countries you need. We'll recommend the lines, check the Microsoft licences you need and send a clear quote, and show you calling in Teams before you decide.
