Can we have numbers in other countries?

Do we need a local address?
Only for some countries and number types. Where a local address or supporting documents are needed, we tell you before you order.
Can we answer an international number from anywhere?
Yes. Calls to your number ring the team or phone system you choose, wherever they sit, where local rules allow.
Can we show our business number on outbound calls?
Yes. You can present any number you hold on your account as your caller ID, subject to local caller-ID rules.
Can a business number receive texts?
Yes, on a UK mobile number. If your main number is a landline or 0333 number, we add a UK mobile text number beside it in 3CX.
Does a number give us a full local phone service in that country?
A number gives you a local presence for inbound and outbound calls. Emergency calling and full local service depend on the country, so we confirm them separately for each market you need.
Can we keep numbers we already use?
Yes. Porting is free for UK numbers and many international ranges. Where a country or number type carries a charge, you’ll know before the port goes ahead. Ports typically take 7 to 15 business days, though timescales vary by number type and country.
